( First Ever Concert )
Lhamo Gonpo made a huge impact
Lhamo Gonpo hosted its first-ever concert on May 17th, inviting very popular Tibetan singers from around the world. The performers included Phurbu T. Namgyal from the USA, Tenzin Dolma from the USA, Lobsang Delek from France, Passang Lhamo from Canada, and Lotsetan from Canada. It became the biggest concert so far, welcoming over 1,000 Tibetans in the audience.
People were amazed by the excellent organization and praised the event as a next-level concert. The show was a super success, and everyone enjoyed it to the fullest. Momo was served for dinner, followed by a joyful Gorshey after the concert. The celebration continued until midnight, with people returning home carrying unforgettable memories.
( First Ever Gorshey Month)
Lhamo Gonpo had the first ever Gorshey Month at Parkdale Hall
Lhamo Gonpo hosted the first-ever monthly Gorshey, a traditional Tibetan circle dance, with the aim of entertaining elderly people around Parkdale while helping younger generations preserve and learn Tibetan traditional dance. The Parkdale Hall was rented for the event, and an entire Saturday was transformed into a fun and memorable day filled with entertainment and dance for people of all age groups.
Parkdale Hall was chosen because most Tibetan people live in that area, often referred to as “Little Tibet.” This made the event especially meaningful for the community. Lhamo Gonpo stands out as the only organization able to bring joy to elderly people while preserving culture and at the same time providing full entertainment for children. Momo and Laphing were also sold during the event, adding to the festive atmosphere. People enjoyed the gathering immensely, making it a great success. With strong support from local residents and people around the world, Lhamo Gonpo will continue to host this event once every month to keep the tradition alive.
